We currently have no new opportunities. Please check back in the Autumn where we will be announcing new projects and opportunities for artists to get involved.
We want to promote new international writing and collaborations in the UK, and we want to work with emerging artists who are innovative, Brexit-defying, and who want to explore how different theatre cultures can meet. We are therefore keen to hear from artists who are either international theatre makers living and making work in the UK, or artists who are interested in making work across cultures and borders.
We also run workshops on working on new international writing, with a particular focus on new Nordic plays. Keep an eye out for our events page for updates on our upcoming workshops.
We are always looking to read new international plays, particularly from the Nordic countries. If you are a writer from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, Åland or from the Samí communities, we'd love to hear from you and read your work.
We read most submitted plays in English, but if your work hasn't been translated yet we'd still like to hear from you.
Email us your script at firstname.lastname@example.org with a summary page and your name and contact details clearly stated on the script. If your work is in the original language, we will do our best to have it read by a native speaker.
Cut the Cord works with experienced facilitators and artists to deliver workshops and programmes in relation to our productions. We also run workshops on new writing for social change and theatre-making for young people, and we're currently looking to expand our outreach work to schools.
If you are interested in having a Cut the Cord workshop or programme in your school, please contact us on email@example.com
