Kolbrún Björt Sigfúsdóttir

Kolbrún is an Icelandic director and playwright working in Scotland. She trained at the Iceland Academy of the Arts in Theatre Theory and Pracice and at University of Exeter where she got a Masters in Staging Shakespeare. Her directed works include the multi award winning productions (Can This Be) Home and Richard III (a one-woman show) by Brite Theater, of which Kolbrún is Artistic Director.

 

Brite Theater

Brite Theater is an independent theatre group founded by Kolbrún Björt Sigfúsdóttir in 2006. They are especially interested in audience and site specific work, using participation, direct address, shared lighting, promenade and unconventional theatre spaces.
